Twitter, and a new video

Just briefly....
Wild Beasts are now on Twitter, please go to http://twitter.com/wildbeasts to read the polyrhythms of our thoughts, or chide us for our idleness.

You may also go to http://www.guardian.co.uk/music/video/2009/jun/17/wild-beasts-hooting-howling to watch our amphibious new video for the single "Hooting and Howling", shot by Ruth Render, courtesy of the Guardian.

Brother and Sisters..
We’re extremely happy to tell you that our ten tracked new album named, “Two
Dancers” will be released 03/08/09.
It is a galvanised Wild Beasts playing streamlined and sultry.
It is Wild Beasts as the ugly duckling now grown graceful and full.
It is Wild Beasts as you have never heard us before.
Hayden

Hello everybody
Hello everybody, We’d just like to send you a little dispatch from a corner of pastoral England. We’re in the thick of recording our second album. Picture this -
It’s cold.
We have no neighbours.
On the wall are 5 platinum discs belonging to The Darkness’ ‘Permission to Land’.
The tape (yes! Tape!) machine insists on breaking every morning as we begin.
The only records we have are old Swedish psychedelic ones.
We are barely sleeping because all we hear at night is our own songs going round and round and round and round.
There is a well stocked carp pond, and a small boat. And Kenny Dog-leash the King Charles Cocker Spaniel puppy.
There are pheasants in the garden.
We’re about halfway through, and it sounds like we’ve turned a few corners – sonically and structurally. Obviously, we’re excited. We’ll be in touch again when we’re a little further on, hopefully with some pics/videos for elucidation. We’ll get on it.
In other news, you can catch me (yes! Me!) crooning the gospel on the wonderful Fran Rodgers’ EP ‘The Green Room’, on the song ‘I See Horses Flee’.
In other other news, happy birthday to Hayden ‘the voice’ Thorpe, who turned 23 yesterday. A cake was had.
Beast wishes, keep in touch,
Tom x
